E57: A manifesto to overthrow Europe’s oligarchy

May 9 is Europe Day. But there’s little reason to celebrate. War rages on our outskirts, while our governments evade democracy to provide weapons for it. The far-right is making gains. The cost of living is rising. Ecological disaster is around the corner.

Our response? To reboot our movement. Our new manifesto offers a simple but radical message: the EU will only be democratised once its oligarchy is overthrown.

Today is a day to remember what Europe isn’t. And to remind ourselves of what it could be.

Our panel, including Yanis Varoufakis, Julijana Zita and more, take on these issues and answer your questions.
