E98: EU Elections 2024: Our campaign for peace, dignity, and freedom

Between June 6-9, the people of Europe will head to the polls to elect a new European Parliament. With the far-right on the rise and Establishment parties trying to convince us that their policies aren’t the root of our problems, DiEM25 and our political parties MERA25 are stepping up with a clear message: the Establishment and the far-right are two sides of the same coin. They need each other to survive.

Europe has lost its soul and is morally bankrupt. This is evident in its neglect of the many in favour of the few, both within our continent and beyond. Policies that always benefit a tiny elite, and arms sales that fuel wars and destruction, have made it clear: only a strong, principled and humanist pan-European, internationalist movement can change our political course.

Our MERA25 political parties in Germany, Greece and Italy are running in the European Parliament elections to say enough is enough. It’s time for a radical shift in European politics to avert disaster. The people of Europe deserve better.
