We envision a decentralised economy based on cooperative enterprises.
These enterprises are organised horizontally and have no shareholders except for the people employed in them, with each person having one share in the company, and one vote for major decisions concerning its governance. This economic system will promote:
- An unconditional basic income and a job guarantee provided by democratised central banks, in a world where international trade and money flows are managed so as to iron out imbalances (e.g. trade deficits and surpluses), and, in the process, fund real green and social public investments in the less developed parts of the planet.
- Degrowth in sectors that harm humans, other animals and the environment.
- The growth of renewable energy, public health, mental health, social care, unlimited education and culture.
