February 15: Yanis Varoufakis to speak at anti-security-conference rally in Munich

Yanis Varoufakis will be in Munich to speak at the rally of the Action Alliance Against the NATO Security Conference 2025.

The Action Alliance Against the NATO Security Conference 2025 is calling for protests under the slogan “Peace-capable instead of war-capable!”. It criticises the militarisation of society, NATO expansion and the safeguarding of Western power interests through war.

It calls for disarmament, an end to arms exports, protection of the civilian population and investment in social welfare, education and environmental protection instead of armaments. The aim is a peaceful foreign policy and international solidarity. The action alliance against the NATO Security Conference is calling for a protest.

Last year’s speech

At the same event last year, Yanis Varoufakis, together with DiEM25 and MERA25 activists, took part in this huge anti-war rally in Munich. It was a fantastic day of action against the so-called Munich “Security” Conference, which was happening in parallel. This was Yanis Varoufakis’ full speech in fron of the crowds.
