This Easter, the mind chokes as we behold the mighty preparing the peoples of Europe for lucrative wars that will line their pockets.
This Easter, the soul clenches before the wounded orphans looking for something to eat in the rubble of Gaza, helplessly, beside their parents’ corpses.
This Orthodox Easter, not forgetting our own 57 dead in last year’s fully anticipated train wreck in Thessaly, we crave the idea of the Resurrection more than ever – a secular Resurrection perhaps, for those of us of an atheist persuasion
And because neither revenge nor retaliation is a solution, this Easter we hug our own, look into their eyes, and draw from them the strength to fight for Peace, Coexistence and Solidarity.
