DiEM25 in Cyprus condemns the racist attacks against migrants in Chloraka

DiEM25 in Cyprus condemns the racist attacks against migrants in the village of Chloraka and expresses its deep concern about the upsurge of such episodes, as a consequence of the racist rhetoric by certain parties, the mass media and the government, amidst the ongoing impoverishment and exploitation of the working class, Cypriots and foreigners alike.

We are sounding the alarm over the emergence of far-right assault gangs, and we stand in solidarity against the fascist attacks, raising our voices in support of every migrant who is being targeted. We will work towards a stronger anti-fascist movement to counter the poisoning of our society, which is diverting attention away from the real enemy, the oligarchic interests.
