Members from across Europe and beyond have had their say
The results of the 2024 Coordinating Collective (CC) elections have been counted and confirmed, with a total of seven posts filled following the September vote.
The successful candidates embody our organisation and the most pressing matters that we aim to make an impact on, including migration, environmental issues, tech sovereignty, gender equality and much more.
Below, you can find out more about each of the seven CC appointees chosen by DiEM25 members to guide our movement in the months ahead.
Danae Stratou – 744 (56%)
“After having served the last term as part of the CC I would like to continue the work now that I’ve gained some experience and feel I could contribute and help the movement grow stronger at a crucial time for Europe and indeed the world.”
Julijana Zita – 640 (48%)
“A lot of work is ahead of us, a huge fight for justice, peace and our future and I want DiEM25 to be the movement where people join together in that great effort.”
Julia May Moore – 633 (47%)
“DiEM25’s ethos is growing and increasing in influence. Further working with groups and social justice networks will hone and refine the progressive aim and objective, whilst empowering citizens to own their political institutions.”
Nour Hariri – 631 (47%)
“I believe in the potential of grassroots movements to effect significant change, but I was yearning for a more structured approach that could translate our ambitions into concrete, impactful actions.”
Defne Dalkara – 625 (47%)
“We really take steps internationally together, no one else to my knowledge is involved in such an elaborated (and crucial) effort on the European left. As someone from a developing country and a committed internationalist it really means a lot to me that such group exists in Europe that is also strongly anti-imperialist.”
Federico Dolce – 577 (43%)
“I believe I can make an important and decisive contribution to the coordination of the movement in the coming years, both through my professional experience and political activism.”
Carolina Rehrmann – 577 (43%)
“DiEM25’s vision of a democratic, inclusive, truly peaceful, and socially just Europe is our best hope for tackling these absolutely transnational challenges. I want to play a fervent part in amplifying its power.”
