Time’s up, Mrs Von der Leyen

Ursula von der Leyen, you belong in front of a judge, not in any position of power. You are an accomplice to genocide, the blood of innocent people is on your hands

We fully support the Geneva International Peace and Research Institute‘s call to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Ursula von der Leyen for complicity in war crimes and Genocide committed by Israel in the occupied Palestinian Territories and Gaza.

Von der Leyen was once defence minister in Germany and not only utterly incompetent in her job, she was also investigated for corruption and nepotism. And what happens when a politician fails grandiosely in national politics? They get ‘promoted’ into a political realm far, far away, in this case, into the EU Commission. Never elected, her legacy as president of the EU Commission can be described with two words: misanthropic and unprincipled

Always a great advocate for the military industrial complex and basically every industry and lobby that jeopardises our future, but an enemy to human life. Thousands of dead refugees in the Mediterranean Sea and now thousands of civilians in Gaza have made her list of people who don’t deserve protection, a chance, or even a life. She has no scruple to support Israel in cutting off water, food and electricity to Gaza, and welcomes the bombing of those people under the guise of “defence”.

Just how unprincipled she is was recently shown by the fact that she is seeking the support of the Italian neo-fascist Giorgia Meloni in order to keep her post as president.

DiEM25 launched a petition months ago, calling for Ursula von der Leyen to resign, signed by over 75.000 people so far. Let’s keep adding to it.

Von der Leyen, you are not our president, we did not elect you. We don’t want another five years of war and death.
