German Elections 2025: We’re Making a Difference

As Germany prepares to vote, MERA25 stands unwavering for peace, dignity, freedom, and justice for all. This Sunday, let’s make a difference. Vote MERA25 for a future of solidarity and hope!

In less than 24 hours, people will go to the polls in Germany and our electoral wing MERA25 has made a difference in this election campaign! While the established parties have been outbidding each other in declarations how unconstitutionally and inhumanely they want to treat migrants and pro-Palestinian groups in the future, and in the case of CDU / FDP / AfD (with the unexpected addition of Wagenknecht’s BSW) already passing some anti-migrant laws, we have been present where it counts.

In Berlin this week, we made sure that the UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese was allowed to speak at all. Together with our comrades from Palestine Solidarity, we withstood the repression of the Berlin police. We discussed this attempt at censorship with our candidate Carolina Rehrmann here (watch!) and in the end, the event was able to take place.

In Munich last weekend, we took to the streets with comrades from all over the country to oppose the NATO conference and the militarization of our society, and our candidate Melanie Schweizer and Yanis Varoufakis exposed the war machine at this MERA25 Bavaria event. We would especially like to thank the comrades in Berlin, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia who have campaigned under the most adverse conditions in the last week and we thank our candidates who have set an example for peace, solidarity and freedom: Sayid Bayoumi Aly, Sophie Asmus, Faraz Baghaei, Lisa Behr, Barbara Diop, Carolin Engelhardt, Madlen Ernst, Annalena Falk, Johannes Fehr, Jan Genin, Recep Murat Güner, Salsabil Hamadache, Lucas Jenß, Yasser Maslout-Siegfried, Eva María Martín Martínez, Silvio Marx, Marie-Alice Morel, Jonathan Noormann, Jibran Khan, Carolina Rehrmann, Abdullah Sari, Melanie Schweizer, Joris Seibert, Niklas Sense, Sharareh Shahedali, Bircan Sönmez, Jaroslav Toussaint, Jessica Querl and Jan Worpenberg.

Today at 6 p.m. CET, we will be discussing what is at stake tomorrow and what impact this election will have on Germany and Europe with Yanis Varoufakis and our top candidates: Tune in and ask us questions!

Tomorrow, our vote in Berlin, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia can only be: MERA25 – With left-wing politics against fascism And on Monday the work continues with you. On the streets and building our organization. Until solidarity with all people, peace, justice, freedom and a self-determined life for the many and a green transformation, paid for by the environmental destroyers, are finally a reality. Join MERA25!
