Leipzig Calling

DiEM25 is not only about changing Europe’s institutions. It is also about connecting people and their struggles all around Europe.
Our volunteer group in Leipzig, Germany, is working on a range of topics and always looking for like-minded people from other volunteer groups (DSCs) to join our work and discuss our ideas.
Here are some of the things going on in Leipzig right now:

  • Skill-sharing Workshops: every two months, DSC Leipzig holds a workshop, from public speaking, to community organising, to data security.
  • How-To Writing group: DSC Leipzig is putting together How-To manuals on topics like moderation, keeping minutes, online communication and organising demonstrations. We want to share these manuals with DSCs all over Germany and and across Europe
  • Taskforce European Labour Union: We are planning events with different Unions in Germany to discuss the changing nature of the European labour market.
  • Taskforce “Shelter”: The basic idea is to provide a space for a younger, more social crowd in Leipzig. We provide a space for their music and art as a political event.
  • Taskforce Womens Strike: We are planning events in support of the International Women’s Strike
  • Taskforce Antisemitism: We established a series of lectures, workshops and discussions to create the basis and opportunity for an in-depth discourse.

If you are interested in our work, if you have a question or if you just want to visit Leipzig and get to know us face to face, get in touch 😉
